Hi, I'm KUMIKO.

In this article, I will explain to you 7 simple steps to plan your trip to Japan. Let me help you make your vacation unforgettable.

I worked as a tour guide and visited 80 countries around the world. The cities I have traveled to, the people I have met, the delicious food I have enjoyed in each region, the opera and art I have seen, and all the other experiences I have had are priceless assets to my life.

Of course, I have traveled all over Japan and know what Japan has to offer.

There are many wonderful landscapes, delicious food, and unique activities. I sincerely hope that you all experience a wonderful trip to Japan.

However, planning a trip to Japan may not be easy. That is why we have created this guide with 7 easy steps for planning a trip to Japan. We also have lots of guides about Japan and Japanese cities to give you more inspiration.

Let's get started.

Step 1: Decide when you want to go

The first thing you must do when planning your trip to Japan is to decide when you want to go.
The best times to travel to Japan are spring (late March to late April) and fall (September to November).
In spring, cherry blossoms color the whole of Japan, and in fall, you can enjoy gardens and parks with magnificent red, orange, and golden trees.

In addition to the natural beauty, the mild weather suitable for touring famous places is also an attraction during these times of the year.

Also to be avoided are the long Japanese vacations.
Japanese long vacations occur three times a year when most companies are closed at the same time, so tourist destinations are crowded with Japanese people.
